Ghostline Product Review
When I found out that I had been chosen to review Carolina Pad's Ghostline products I was extremely excited! As a former teacher I had seen my students struggle with assigned projects as I had struggled during my own school projects!
Why Ghostline?
Before Ghostline was invented, students and their parents had the tedious and time-consuming chore of measuring and drawing faint pencil lines before starting class projects. But 13 years ago, the Ghostline inventors (including a teacher) thought of a better way of keeping projects neat and tidy — boards with pre-printed grid lines!
Now students and teachers can now save time and get great results. Ghostline’s "ghosted" grid eliminates the need to measure and draw lines — no more messy eraser marks. The “ghosted" grid lines are easy to see up close, but appear to fade at a distance.
And guess what? It works! No guesswork! No erasing crooked lines! To prove just how easy a project is with these products, I appointed my 6 yr old daughter, Gracie, the Project Manager! And she embraced the idea and ran with it!
Her chosen subject? Gems! I should have guessed that one! Gracie wants to be a Gemologist when she grows up. At the end of last year we watched "Jewelry Television" for 2 solid months! She was fascinated and her interest has not wavered! I gave her free reign and as you can tell by the pictures, she did a bang-up job! I'm very proud of my first-grader, but I've created a monster, I think! She already has plans for more projects! I have a funny feeling that a weekly or monthly project is highly likely for our little family!
But that's the beauty of the Ghostline products! The Foam GL Display Board can be used again and again. No more will a student(or parent!) have to spend time making a wooden frame to hold the cardboard! The smaller GL Project Board can also be reused. Gracie didn't use that item, but for a more advanced project the needed space and portability it provides is fantastic! The GL Make a Poster Kit contained 8 sheets white poster board, 1 each of Fluorescent Green, Fluorescent Orange, Fluorescent Yellow, Fluorescent Pink and a huge stencil. I'd like to suggest that a smaller stencil be included for smaller hands or a pack of stencils 4 letters to a sheet which would be more manageable for younger project-makers. Another addition to the kit? I'd like to see a small package of push pins or something similar to attach the poster board to the Foam Display Board. We were scrambling to come up with something. Here is what I received in order to give an honest review:
22x28 Foam GL Display Board (folds to 22x14)-SRP $5.99
14X33 GL Project Board (folds to 14x11)-SRP $3.55
14X22 GL Poster Board, 3 pack-SRP-$1.99
GL Make a Poster Kit-SRP $5.99
The Suggested Retail Price for each of these items is totally amazing! But Carolina Pad's Ghostline Products would be a bargain at any price! I will use these products in the future. I highly recommend that you, my readers, do also. You just can't go wrong!
