Awarded Best Product by Orca Communications Unlimited, LLC
Tie Buddies are placed on childrens shoelaces and eliminate the loops. This allows children to easily complete the tying process while at school or away from mom and dad or until they get they practice enough to tie on their own . The Tie Buddies make it easier for little fingers by providing a pull-tab and the characters allow the child to remember their own story which guides them through the steps to tying.
My Review
How great a concept is this! Who would have thought such a very simple thing as this product would be so effective in teaching little ones how to tie their shoes! And especially in this day of velcro and snaps! I RECEIVED THE TIE BUDDIES FOR LITTLE GIRLS to review. Gracie can already tie her shoes, but the process was painstaking with lots and lots of tears! She just couldn't get the hang of those darn loops! Oh, how I wish I had known about Tie Buddies earlier!
With that being said, I gave the Tie Buddies I received to my nephew who is four! No, it didn't bother him in the least that they were pink! He loves pink! He's a little man that is in touch with his feminine side!(Unlike his daddy! But that's another post!)
Red and Green Race cars on Baltic Blue. Set includes four Tie Buddies. Two of each car design. Price: $8.99
He has been wanting to tie his own shoes and this was the perfect opportunity to review this product! Wow! Did he learn fast! He, like Gracie, had been struggling. Those loops were a problem for him, too! But after he started using the Tie Buddies system, he can now tie his own shoes! And I only received the product a few days ago!
I would recommend this product to all parents, grandparents and caregivers who have little ones wanting to tie their own shoes, but struggling with those darn loops
Hurray for Tie Buddies!
HISTORY
Tie Buddies® was born in January 2007 by inventor and mother of two, Wendy Welling. As she lay next to her younger daughter, she kept thinking that there simply had to be a better way to help her children learn to tie their own shoes!
Inspired by both her daughter’s excitement – and their increased feelings of independence as they quickly learned to tie their own shoes – Wendy spent months fiddling with prototypes and ideas until finally perfecting Tie Buddies®. The key was to create cool characters and interactive stories that help the child learn and retain the process and as well as eliminating the frustrating ‘bunny ears or loops’ that just confuse children as they learn.
Thus in April 2007 this mother of two independent shoe-tying daughters created her own company, Widget Works, Inc, and launched Tie Buddies® into the market.
Thanks, Wendy!
Disclosure: I was given Tie Buddies for a little girl in order to conduct an honest review. No monetary agreement was entered into. At no time did this company ask for a favorable review. If I say someting is good, then IT IS GOOD!
